Sep. 29–Oct. 31, Haunted Trail Balboa Park  –  Enter the mile-long Trail through a twisted grove of pines and gnarled oaks to experience an outdoor terror that is simply too big to house indoors. This year, the Trail begins with a maze of Purge-inspired terror, and the Stranger Things house, Upside-Down World, and Krampus return. Oct. 1–31 (select dates), Boomont Park  –  Celebrate Halloween with family-friendly festivities all month long! Oct. 7, Pacific Beachfest  –  Discover a one-day event that is perfect for visitors looking to enjoy all that San Diego beaches have to offer. The family-friendly ‘fest has something for everyone, including a “Best of the Beach” Fish Taco Contest, live music, Kids Action Alley, Craft Beer Garden, local vendors, and the Beachfest BeerCup contest! Oct. 7–8, La Jolla Art & Wine Festival (LJAWF)  –  Featuring the work of over 150 established artists from San Diego and beyond, the LJAWF features something for everyone. In addition to the art, there will be a silent auction, entertainment, a gourmet marketplace, a family art center, and a wine and beer garden. All profits will benefit programs for local public elementary and middle schools.
